NYC Taxi Drivers Offer Therapy Rides

Cab confessions

According to reports, New York taxi drivers are marketing themselves as unofficial therapists, offering riders free advice with each trip. Sessions include phrases like “Forget him, he’s trash” and “Life’s too short for Queens traffic.”

One rider left in tears, another left engaged, and one swore their driver saved their marriage between Canal Street and Midtown.

TikTok’s #CabbieCounsel trend features clips of drivers dishing wisdom while honking furiously. A viral video captured a driver shouting “LOVE YOURSELF!” before cutting off a bus.

Tabloids opened up. “FREUD IN THE FRONT SEAT” screamed the Post. The Daily News countered: “THERAPY WITH A TIP.”

Mayor Adams praised it as “mental health mobility.” Governor Hochul muttered, “At least it’s cheaper than my therapist.”
