Pairing math with juice boxes
According to reports, wealthy Upper West Side parents are hiring “homework sommeliers” to pair algebra with Capri Suns and history essays with organic apple slices. The new service costs $300 an hour, plus gratuity for sharpening pencils.
One mom said, “Our sommelier suggested a bold juice box to cut through long division.” Another family requested flashcards served on a silver platter.
TikToks #HomeworkPairing trend shows influencers reviewing their study snacks like fine wine. A viral clip featured a kid sniffing a granola bar before conjugating verbs.
Tabloids graded. “MATH AND MERLOT” screamed the Post. The Daily News countered: “SNACKS WITH FACTS.”
Mayor Adams praised it as “academic luxury.” Governor Hochul muttered, “I did my homework with tap water.”
