One influencer bragged, “I wore Dior for exactly 37 minutes.” Another customer was fined after spilling cold brew on “lease-only Levis.”
TikToks #HourlyDenim trend features teens swapping pants in bathroom stalls. A viral clip showed someone sprinting out of the store to avoid overtime charges.
Tabloids hemmed. “PANTS FOR RENT” screamed the Post. The Daily News countered: “DENIM DEBT.”
Mayor Adams praised it as “sustainable chic.” Governor Hochul muttered, “Cant we just buy pants?”
