Royal Fashion Historians Demand Back Pay from Disney Archives

A collective of underpaid fashion historians—known as the Seamstress Irregulars—has filed a class action suit against Disney, alleging that their decades of unpaid labor decoding Diana’s outfits directly fueled the princess aesthetic empire.

“Where’s our cut?” demanded Dr. Elspeth Woolslip. “We catalogued 4,392 of Diana’s outfits and got nothing but a Tumblr footnote.”

Their proposed settlement? One historian per princess franchise as a creative consultant. Plus lifetime subscriptions to Vogue and free tiaras.

Disney responded with a cease-and-desist in the shape of a glitter bomb.
