Tears with your thrills
According to reports, Coney Island has introduced the worlds first “emotional roller coaster,” where instead of physical loops, riders are strapped in for a journey through breakups, awkward family dinners, and student loan debt. “Weve moved from adrenaline to catharsis,” said the park director, passing out tissues at the exit.
The ride, dubbed “Feelings Cyclone,” begins with riders hearing their parents say, “We need to talk,” followed by a plunge into old voicemail messages from exes. Halfway through, a hologram of your high school crush appears, only to vanish before you confess your feelings. The ride ends with a simulated job interview where you forget your resume, followed by confetti cannons shooting rejection letters.
Reactions are intense. Some riders leave crying but say they “feel lighter.” Others immediately demand refunds, claiming they didnt sign up to relive Thanksgiving 2012. One tourist from Ohio said: “The scariest part was when my student loan officer waved at me.”
TikToks #CryRide is blowing up: influencers sobbing with mascara streaks, couples breaking up mid-ride, and pranksters proposing just before the simulated heartbreak drop. Street vendors now sell “emotional support funnel cakes” dusted with Prozac-colored sprinkles.
Tabloids buckled in. The Post screamed: “ROLLER TEARS.” The Daily News countered: “FEEL THE WHEEL.”
Mayor Adams endorsed: “This is healing through capitalism.” Governor Hochul muttered: “If Six Flags tries this, Im banning feelings.”
