NYC Rooftops Add Infinity Pools for Pigeons

Bird baths deluxe

According to reports, luxury developers are installing infinity pools exclusively for pigeons atop high-rises. “If humans get rooftop amenities, why not our feathered co-residents?” asked one developer. Each pool comes with tiny lifeguard chairs and complimentary breadcrumbs.

Locals say pigeons now spend afternoons lounging poolside, cooing while sipping rainwater martinis. Tourists stare upward, watching flocks dive gracefully into chlorinated water before dive-bombing pedestrians below. “It’s glamorous until you’re hit by a wet feather,” complained one commuter.

Animal rights activists are conflicted. “Sure, pigeons deserve luxury,” said one. “But do they need better amenities than half of Queens?” Meanwhile, wealthy residents complain the birds have taken over rooftop cabanas, reserving them with pecks on an iPad app called “PidgePal.”

TikTok’s #PigeonPools trend shows influencers sipping Aperol Spritzes while pigeons cannonball behind them. A viral clip captured a pigeon in aviator sunglasses refusing to leave a reserved chaise lounge.

Tabloids splashed it. “BIRDS WITH VIEWS” screamed the Post. The Daily News countered: “SPLASH PIGEONS SPLASH.”

Mayor Adams praised it as “avian equity.” Governor Hochul muttered, “If a pigeon lounges better than me, I’m banning breadcrumbs.”
