Playdate politics
According to reports, Upper East Side nannies have formed a Super PAC to influence local politics, demanding better playground conditions and subsidies for organic juice boxes. With millions in campaign funding from stroller manufacturers, the group is already endorsing candidates who promise more park benches.
One nanny explained, “Were tired of pushing swings with rusty chains. And dont get me started on sandbox litter.” Their political ads feature toddlers frowning while dramatic music plays.
TikToks #NannyPAC trend shows caregivers delivering fiery stump speeches while balancing babies on their hips. A viral clip showed a toddler interrupting a debate by demanding “Goldfish crackers now.”
Tabloids rallied. “PACIFIED POLITICS” screamed the Post. The Daily News countered: “BOTTLES AND BALLOTS.”
Mayor Adams praised it as “grassroots democracy.” Governor Hochul muttered, “Do babies really need lobbyists?”
