Times Square Elmo Launches Podcast

Furry tales from the crossroads

According to reports, the notorious Times Square Elmo has decided yelling at tourists isn’t enough—he’s now podcasting. His show, “Tickle This, NYC,” features interviews with fellow costumed hustlers like Bootleg Batman and Off-Brand Minnie Mouse.

Episodes include deep dives into turf wars, tips on dodging NYPD tickets, and a recurring segment called “Elmo Needs a Smoke Break.” Tourists download it out of morbid curiosity, while locals tune in just to feel better about their own careers.

TikTok’s #ElmoUnfiltered went viral after he cursed out Spider-Man for stealing his hotdog. Reviews call it “chaotic,” “unlistenable,” and “the truest New York soundscape since subway rats screeching.”

Tabloids chuckled. “FURRY FREQUENCIES” screamed the Post. The Daily News countered: “TALKIN’ TICKLE.”

Mayor Adams praised it as “cultural entrepreneurship.” Governor Hochul muttered, “Why is this my life?”
