Empire State Building Installs Water Slide

Skyscraper splash

According to reports, the Empire State Building has unveiled the world’s tallest water slide, spiraling from the 86th-floor observatory down to 34th Street. Tickets cost $100, helmets are mandatory, and tourists scream louder than King Kong on the descent.

City officials claim the slide “brings adrenaline to architecture.” Critics argue it dumps chlorine into midtown traffic. Riders are given ponchos but still land soaked near Shake Shack. “It’s like Coney Island met corporate real estate,” said one drenched tourist clutching a soggy pretzel.

TikTok’s #EmpireSlide trend is pouring: viral clips of commuters riding the slide to work, pranksters adding rubber duckies, and one man attempting a DoorDash delivery mid-slide. Influencers film slow-motion drops with captions like “Skyscraper drip.” Meanwhile, locals mutter, “Great, more tourists screaming downtown.”

Tabloids splashed. The Post screamed: “SLIDE OF YOUR LIFE.” The Daily News countered: “EMPIRE SPLASH BACK.”

Mayor Adams gushed: “This is wet urban renewal.” Governor Hochul muttered: “If Albany tries this, I’m banning pool noodles.”
