Runway waddle
According to reports, the Bronx Zoo has taken New York Fashion Week to new lowsor highsby dressing penguins in couture. Tiny tuxedos, sequined gowns, and even streetwear hit the runway, or rather, the waddle-way.
Designers say penguins are “natural models,” though most kept tripping over fish. PETA filed a complaint but admitted the penguins “looked fabulous.”
TikToks #PenguinPrêtàPorter exploded after one bird strutted better than Gigi Hadid. Another stole a shrimp canapé off Anna Wintours plate.
Tabloids strutted. “PENGUIN VOGUE” screamed the Post. The Daily News countered: “WADDLE & STRUT.”
Mayor Adams praised it as “animal artistry.” Governor Hochul muttered, “As long as they dont unionize.”
