Yankee Stadium Introduces BYO-Pigeon Nights

Fowl balls guaranteed

According to reports, Yankee Stadium has announced a bizarre new promotion: “Bring Your Own Pigeon Nights.” Fans are encouraged to bring their favorite rooftop bird for free admission, promising “the most authentic Bronx baseball experience ever.”

The program includes pigeon-only seating zones, special birdseed concessions, and a seventh-inning “coo-along.” Security staff reportedly confiscated a hawk brought in by a Mets fan. One Yankee fan bragged, “My pigeon pooped on a Red Sox cap, that’s a win in itself.”

TikTok’s #PigeonNight trend is flapping: clips of pigeons dive-bombing hotdog stands, birds stealing nachos, and fans wearing custom pinstriped pigeon carriers. A viral video showed a pigeon flying off with a foul ball, sparking debate on whether it counted as an out. ESPN refused to update its rulebook, citing “avian interference.”

Tabloids had a field day. The Post screamed: “FOWL BALLS.” The Daily News countered: “WINGING IT.”

Mayor Adams declared: “This is sports inclusion.” Governor Hochul muttered: “If Albany tries this, I’m banning bird season tickets.”
