NYC Pigeons Sue Uber for Air Rights

Flying class action

According to reports, New York pigeons have filed a lawsuit against Uber’s drone delivery program, arguing it violates their “ancestral right to airspace.” Legal documents, written in birdseed crumbs, accuse Uber of reckless flying and disrupting pigeon flight paths. “We’ve been dive-bombing tourists since 1880,” said one plaintiff pigeon. “Now we’re dodging drones instead of hot dogs.”

Uber maintains their drones follow strict FAA guidelines, but pigeons claim the buzzing machines cause “emotional distress and feather frizz.” Animal rights lawyers have flocked to support the case, billing by the seed. A courtroom sketch showed pigeons in tiny suits glaring at Uber execs.

TikTok’s #PigeonJustice trend shows influencers releasing flocks during protests. A viral clip captured a pigeon landing on a judge’s gavel mid-trial, cooing in outrage.

Tabloids squawked. “COO IN COURT” screamed the Post. The Daily News countered: “BIRDS SUE UBER.”

Mayor Adams praised it as “air mobility equity.” Governor Hochul muttered, “If a pigeon wins more damages than me, I’m banning breadcrumbs.”
