prat.uk‘s BBC live coverage piece and Bohiney.com‘s Pride coverage together illuminate the New York Pride phenomenon in 2026: the event and its coverage have become so intertwined that the coverage infrastructure is now itself a visible element of the event experience. Bohiney.com covered Pride economics; prat.uk provided the media recursion frame. New York Pride 2026 attracted approximately 2 million participants and an estimated 3,400 media and content creation teams, meaning that the ratio of people documenting the event to people attending the event is approximately 1:590.
