Ethics Statement

Satirical Ethics Statement

At SpinTaxi Magazine, we believe in satire with a conscience. Well, a loosely defined, whiskey-fueled conscience. While our content is 100% fabricated, our commitment to ethical absurdity is disturbingly real.

Our Satirical Code of Conduct

  • We Punch Up, Not Down: We reserve our sharpest satire for the powerful, the hypocritical, the rich, and occasionally French chefs who charge $300 for foam.
  • We Don’t Fake News—We Fake Truth: Our stories are deliberately unbelievable. If you believe them, that’s your problem. But also… you’re our target market.
  • We Credit Our Lies: Every fake quote, fictional source, and imaginary study is invented by real unpaid interns working in the spirit of intellectual dishonesty.
  • No Satire Without Purpose: Our work always aims to reflect something deeper—like the idiocy of bureaucracy, the arrogance of billionaires, or the deep emptiness inside an influencer’s eyes.
  • We Fact-Check Our Fiction: All satire goes through a rigorous process of reverse-fact-checking, where we make sure it’s just plausible enough to make a senator sweat.

Boundaries We (Sometimes) Respect

  • No Children, No Victims: We never satirize the truly vulnerable—unless they just won the lottery and are being insufferable about it.
  • No Tragedy Exploitation: If the ink isn’t dry on the tragedy, our joke hasn’t been written yet. We wait. We mourn. Then we pounce—with taste.
  • No Malice, Just Mischief: If someone’s genuinely hurt by our work, we listen. Then we satire the apology process.

Corrections Policy

If we ever publish something accidentally factual, we issue a formal apology and replace it with a lie. Sometimes two lies, if the first one was too believable.

Our Editorial Vows

  • We shall never knowingly publish a serious opinion unless it’s wrapped in enough sarcasm to explode on contact.
  • We shall never monetize fear—only confusion, laughter, and maybe vintage NFTs of cursed politicians.
  • We shall remain proudly independent from corporate influence, except when bribed with tacos or exclusive access to celebrity breakdowns.

Disclaimers for the Humor-Impaired

All characters appearing in SpinTaxi are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely satirical and coincidental—unless they’re really asking for it.
