Brooklyn Cyclists Demand Bike Lanes in Subway

Two wheels underground

According to reports, Brooklyn cyclists are demanding dedicated bike lanes in the subway system, insisting trains should “share the track.” They claim it’s the only way to achieve “true urban harmony” between commuters and spokes.

One activist said, “If pigeons can live down there, so can my fixie.” Riders fear derailments, but cyclists argue derailments already happen weekly without their help.

TikTok’s #SubwayBike trend shows cyclists riding past trains underground. One viral video showed a man pedaling while balancing a pizza box bigger than his bike.

Tabloids rolled. “PEDAL POWER” screamed the Post. The Daily News countered: “CHAIN REACTION.”

Mayor Adams praised it as “multi-modal thinking.” Governor Hochul muttered, “What’s next, rollerblades on the LIRR?”
