Latte crisis
According to reports, Brooklyn hipsters have officially declared war on the citys oat milk shortage. “Its not just a beverageits a lifestyle,” cried one barista in Williamsburg, wielding a mason jar as if it were a weapon. “Without oat milk, my identity is at stake.”
Cafés are rationing lattes like wartime rations. A sign outside a Bushwick coffee shop reads: “One cortado per person, no refills, no exceptions. Bring your own milk if you dare.” Patrons line up around the block, hoping to score an $11 latte sprinkled with despair and cinnamon dust.
Meanwhile, black-market suppliers are thriving. “I got a guy who delivers oat milk in an unmarked van,” whispered one Park Slope mom. “Its either that or soy, and Id rather die.”
TikToks #OatMilkWars trend features influencers weeping into empty cartons, while one viral clip shows a Bushwick artist sculpting oat milk foam into the shape of the Statue of Liberty before screaming, “Give me your tired, your poor, your lactose intolerant!”
Tabloids churned it. “OAT RAGE” screamed the Post. The Daily News countered: “LATTES AT DAWN.”
Mayor Adams praised it as “community resilience.” Governor Hochul muttered, “If I have to put almond milk in my coffee, Im resigning.”
