According to reports, exhausted Queens residents are petitioning JFK and LaGuardia for “quiet hours” so planes stop roaring overhead at 3 a.m. Locals claim they can now identify airlines purely by decibel levels.
“I dont need an alarm clock, Ive got Delta,” groaned one homeowner. Others say their windows rattle so hard, it counts as cardio. The Port Authority responded by handing out free earplugsalready resold on Craigslist for $50.
TikToks #JetLullaby trend shows kids trying to sleep as jets scream like heavy metal concerts. One viral clip shows a Queens grandma shaking her fist skyward at a landing 747.
Tabloids groaned. “NOISY SKIES” screamed the Post. The Daily News countered: “TIRED IN QUEENS.”
Mayor Adams praised it as “residents raising their voices.” Governor Hochul muttered, “Theyll still take off whenever they want.”
