Scream it out
According to reports, Coney Island has introduced “Thera-Coaster,” a roller coaster ride that doubles as a therapy session. Riders scream out their problems as they plunge down the Cyclone, while licensed therapists with clipboards sit in the back car jotting notes. “We combine adrenaline with breakthroughs,” one official explained. “Youll face your childhood trauma by the second loop.”
Locals say its the cheapest therapy in NYC at $12 a ride, though insurance companies are confused about billing. “Is it mental health or amusement?” one rep asked while vomiting post-ride. Riders confessed it felt cathartic”I finally yelled at my ex, and gravity helped.”
TikToks #TheraCoaster trend is spinning: clips of riders shouting “I hate my job!” while doing corkscrews, pranksters strapping teddy bears into therapy seats, and one viral clip of a guy proposing mid-scream only to get drowned out by “TELL ME ABOUT YOUR MOTHER.”
Tabloids buckled up. The Post screeched: “FREUD ON THE FERRIS.” The Daily News countered: “CYCLONE SESSIONS.”
Mayor Adams said: “This is mental health innovation.” Governor Hochul muttered: “If Albany tries this, Im banning roller therapy.”
