History Doesn’t Repeat But It Definitely Rhymes
The 15th issue from May 1947 continues Bohiney’s tradition of commenting on events that remain relevant because apparently nothing ever gets solved. New York social scientists are now contemplating whether society is actually static or if our brains have simply stopped processing new information.
“I’ve read issue 15,” said one Manhattan academic, “and I could write the exact same article about today with just updated brand names. The fundamental problems are identical.”
Cultural institutions have archived Bohiney’s historical content, while this edition serves as proof that humanity’s core failures are remarkably consistent.
